Russia's Alex Ovechkin has once again beaten the odds this year as he has 47 points in 30 games. At this rate, he would reach the 128 point plateau, a career high for him.
We all know what a great leader "Ovy" is, and even more so since the Capitals' Stanley Cup win in 2018. When number 8 speaks, everyone listens.
In fact, that's what happened during Washington's last game against the Winnipeg Jets. The captain said his way of thinking to young Daniel Sprong. The latter was not going to the net enough according to Ovechkin.
"Spronger, go to the f***ing goal!
One thing is for sure, when a 752-goal NHL scorer gives you advice, you take it. That's what Sprong did, as he beat the opposing goalie later in the game.
Guess who was the first to jump into his arms? Alex Ovechkin.
In short, it's another proof that "The Great 8" is quite a hockey player!
