Forward Tyler Seguin was limited to just three games last year due to surgery he underwent on his hip in November 2020.
This season, he was back in action after missing nearly a full season. The second overall pick in the 2010 draft has played in 24 games so far, and it's safe to say he's having a hard time getting off the ground offensively. He has only 11 points so far, including seven goals, and has maintained a -12 rating.
In addition, the Brampton, Ontario native has only three points in his last 14 games. The Dallas Stars have had a difficult season and his lack of success is directly related to that. The Dallas Stars are currently 23rd overall in the NHL standings.
The Stars' staff must be looking forward to seeing the $9.850 million invested in Tyler Seguin pay off, as this contract is looking pretty bad these days...
The 29-year-old's contract will expire at the end of the 2026-2027 season.
The Texas team is on track to miss the playoffs for a second straight year after making the Stanley Cup Final in 2019-2020.
