For the past few days, Patrick Roy's future in the hockey world has been the subject of much debate, especially since the announcement of Luke Richardson's departure.
Many fans and observers have suggested the name of Patrick Roy as a potential replacement, while others see him as the Montreal Canadiens' goaltending director (to replace Sean Burke, who left for Las Vegas)
In short, many would like to see him with the Habs.
In any case, before talking about a possible future with the Montreal Canadiens, Roy must decide on his future with the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL.
Remember that Roy took many by surprise during the Quebec Remparts' end-of-season review by questioning his future behind the team's bench.
Let's also remember that three options are available to Roy:
1- Remain head coach and general manager of the Remparts
2- Remain only as general manager of the Remparts
3- Leave the Quebec Remparts.
On this subject, see what the TVA network has published:
"Nothing is confirmed yet, but everything leads us to believe that Patrick Roy will be back at the helm of the Quebec Remparts next season. At least that's what journalist Stéphane Turcot implied during his appearance on the podcast La Dose." - TVA Sports
See what Turcot mentioned:
"According to what I hear and what I'm told, he will be back for one last season. An announcement could be made next Monday." - Stephane Turcot
THERE'S NEWS
All indications are that Turcot's information is accurate, at least as far as the timeline is concerned, because the Quebec Remparts have just issued the following official statement:
"Jacques Tanguay and Patrick Roy will meet with the media on Monday, July 4.
Join us starting at 3:30 pm live on our Facebook page." - Quebec Remparts
So we will indeed be treated to an official announcement next Monday. It promises to be great! What is your prediction?
