Since the last Montreal Canadiens training camp, the organization, players and management have changed dramatically, and there are many new faces.

Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have been quick to bring the team into their image with several new acquisitions. As the 2022-23 camp approaches, La Presse reporter Mathias Brunet went ahead and made his prediction about the CH's trios and duos to start the upcoming season.

See the result:

Juraj Slafkovsky - Nick Suzuki - Cole Caufield

Jonathan Drouin - Kirby Dach - Josh Anderson

Evgenii Dadonov - Christian Dvorak - Brendan Gallagher

Rem Pitlick - Jake Evans - Joel Armia

Defensemen :

Joel Edmundson - Justin Barron

Kaiden Guhle - David Savard

Michael Matheson - Chris Wideman

Goalies:

Jake Allen

Samuel Montembeault

Extras: Mike Hoffman, Michael Pezzetta, Jordan Harris

Injured: Sean Monahan, Paul Byron

Do you agree with this lineup for the inaugural game of the upcoming campaign? There is a surprise, according to many, as Brunet puts young Justin Barron on the first pair of defensemen, starting in game number one, but it's not a bad idea at all!

Another surprise: Mike Hoffman is removed from the starting lineup, despite the expected absences of Sean Monahan and Paul Byron. One thing is for sure, Brunet knows his stuff and it's possible that this is the Habs' starting lineup for the year.

And you, what would be your combinations?
