TVA Sports' Anthony Martineau spoke with Jose Theodore's nephew, Chris, who plays in the NCAA.
Theodore has 39 points in 35 games this season. As you can see, he doesn't play the same position as his uncle, he plays left wing.
Of course, his dream is to play with the Montreal Canadiens.
"It would be a dream for me to play for the Canadiens. I hope to be the second Theodore to pull on that jersey." - Chris Theodore
His uncle won't hesitate to open doors for him if needed.
"When the time comes, I'll have no problem getting involved if things don't break through for him. He deserves a chance and won't miss it, I'm sure. I can call Martin St-Louis, with whom I have already played at the World Cup and with whom I share a very good relationship. And if it's not in Montreal, I'll call Joe Sakic in Colorado or Andrew Brunette in Florida. But for sure, Montreal would be very special to me and you know very well why.
"What you need to know is that I'm not looking for a favor by doing this. It's more like I'm doing old friends a favor by giving them a diamond in the rough on a silver platter." - Jose Theodore
Anthony Martineau mentions that a dozen teams have inquired about young Theodore.
