Last night, the Montreal Canadiens' young defenseman, Arber Xhekaj, received a nice visit in Buffalo after his team's game against the Sabres:
A great moment for him and his friends.
It's amazing to realize that he was almost supposed to be with them in junior, but in the end, he caused a surprise and immediately made the jump from the junior ranks, directly to the National Hockey League.
Plus, he did it as an undrafted player, a first!
It puts things in perspective, and hilariously, it's pretty impressive to see him next to his friends. He looks almost twice as tall and twice as big as them.
Xhekaj, 21 years old, 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds, has 3 points in 8 games this season with the Habs (15 penalty minutes)
