The Washington Capitals took all fans by surprise earlier this week when they decided to release their promising young goaltender Ilya Samsonov.
He immediately became the most coveted goalie on the market.
We just had a major development, as Samsonov has already chosen his next destination.
According to the information of the journalist Arthur Staple (The Athletic), Ilya Samsonov will sign with: the Toronto Maple Leafs! Their new goaltending duo will be composed of :
MATT MURRAY & ILYA SAMSONOV.
