In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization has just announced a number change for forward Jonathan Drouin:
Drouin will now wear number 27, the number he wore almost everywhere before he arrived in Montreal.
Drouin had the #27 with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL), but when he arrived with the CH, it was Alex Galchenyuk who wore it.
The former third overall pick (from 2013) returns with his favorite number.
Drouin, 27, had 20 points in 34 games last season, but he finally looks healthy and 100%. He is also extremely eager to show his skills to his new head coach Martin St-Louis.
