The NHL suspended Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Wideman for one game. Remember that he headbutted Erik Haula of the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night.
This incident occurred during a spat between the two men. The game between the Bruins and Habs was quite heated, so it's not surprising that something like this happened.
This is the first time Wideman has been suspended during his 204-game career in the NHL.
He will have to forfeit $3,750 of his annual salary due to the suspension.
