In yesterday's game, there were not many Habs players who can boast of having had a good game. Many of them failed in their attempts to convince upper management that they could hold a position with the big team.

Among those who disappointed was one Ryan Poehling. The 2017 first round pick, 25th overall, did little to impress analyst Dany Dubé with his training camp.

Dubé wasn't soft on him, mentioning that he looked like an AHL player.

It is clear that time is starting to run out for the now 22-year-old American center. If he wants to establish himself as a permanent player in the National Hockey League, he will have to prove himself fairly quickly.

Last year, he had a good season with the Rocket with 25 points in 28 games. However, those stats are not going to get him a regular spot in Dominique Ducharme's lineup.

What did you think of Ryan Poehling's performance last night against the Leafs? In your opinion, does he deserve his place in the Habs lineup?
