Last night, Dominique Ducharme was asked about the possibility of Cole Caufield being dealt to the Laval Rocket. This morning, Marc Bergevin made the decision to send the young Caufield to the Laval Rocket, a decision that has caused a lot of talk.

Caufield had only one assist in ten games with the Tricolore this year, which is not enough for a player of his talent. Many people see Caufield's relegation as negative, but it's actually positive.

He will be able to develop properly and focus on building confidence with Jean-François Houle.

Dominique Ducharme sees this demotion in a very positive light. He is not fooled, he knew that Caufield was not really himself for a while. He mentioned that players like Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak in particular, needed a stint in the AHL to become the impact players they are today.

"He was playing on his heels a lot in puck possession, he wasn't fully confident. He had some great sequences in net, but his stick was a little tight. He'll get some quality ice time, he'll score some goals and he'll get his confidence back with the Rocket."

Mattias Norlinder was at his team's practice this morning. Dom Ducharme gave an update on him as well. According to him, it would not be impossible to see Norlinder in action soon.

Ducharme also revealed the amount of extra time Joel Edmundson is expected to miss.

The coach also commented on the decision to put Jonathan Drouin at center, along with Mike Hoffman and Josh Anderson. According to him, he decided to put together the three players who are playing the best right now.
