It's not all negative for the Montreal Canadiens these days. The team loses a lot, sure, you have to look much further than that.
Yes, most of the veterans are missing, thank you COVID-19 (sarcasm), but it's an opportunity for the youngsters to grow with the big club and show the higher-ups what they can do.
Take Rafaël Harvey-Pinard for example, who is really enjoying his time with the Habs. He scored his first goal in his first NHL game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. A great moment for the Saguenay pride.
However, the Quebecer's contribution is not only in terms of offensive production, but rather in the small details and work ethic. Harvey-Pinard is constantly on the floor, in short, he never stops.
His work was praised by one of the veterans still healthy on the team, Jonathan Drouin. The number 92 had some nice words for Harvey-Pinard. According to him, the youngster will have a lot of success in the NHL, thanks to his determination and his versatility.
When all the regulars are back, there will be demotions, but it would not be impossible for Harvey-Pinard to extend his stay in town. After all, it's not like he'd be stealing anyone else's spot, it would be richly deserved, even if Harvey-Pinard still has things to prove.
