According to what hockey tipster Pierre LeBrun reported, the Montreal Canadiens have begun contacting teams to speak with potential general manager candidates.
Still according to LeBrun, Roberto Luongo (Panthers), Mathieu Darche (Lightning) and Daniel Briere (Flyers) would be among those contacted.
We knew that the hiring process for the next GM would begin in early January. The organization is just getting into the swing of things, so we shouldn't be surprised if an announcement is made soon.
Stay tuned....
