Extremely rare scene live from the Bell Centre involving Samuel Montembeault and the Canadiens must act
As highlighted by the excellent TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau, we witnessed a very rare scene today with the Montreal Canadiens involving goaltender Samuel Montembeault.
"It may seem trivial, but it was an optional practice this morning and Sam Montembeault, starting tonight, could have easily chosen the sleep option.
Instead, he chose the work option.
Success is in the small details.
1st in the NHL (5 vs 5) for the average goals against."
Wow! It's no coincidence that Samuel is currently so successful and developing so well.
He is a true hardworking and passionate player.
99% of NHL goalies rest on game day, especially when there is an optional practice for their team, but not Montembeault.
Samuel was on the ice this morning even though he is starting tonight and even though it's a big game for him.
It's very rare to see this, and we love it! Bravo Samuel!
We are increasingly realizing that the Canadiens need to act and do something to give more games to the Quebecer. He deserves it and the three-goalie situation has lasted long enough.
