It had been a while, but today we have some action on NHL waivers!

The Nashville Preds caused a surprise by placing a former 1st round pick Liam Foudy on waivers.

A solid skater, very fast!

Foudy will thus be available for free to all NHL teams.

Preds HC Andrew Brunette confirmed at morning skate today that Liam Foudy is on waivers

He notched 3 assists and 7 shots on goal in 12 outings while averaging 10:08 of ice time per game - Michael Gallagher

Selected 18th overall in the 2018 draft (1st round), the 23-year-old forward has scored 7 goals and 15 assists (22 points) in 102 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators.

See what his new coach had to say about him:

«It's hard to come into a team that already has extra players. He brings a lot of speed and I would like to see him go down to the AHL to gain finishing and strength. If he is not claimed, I will be very happy to have him in the organization. I really like this young man and I really like his speed.» - Andrew Brunette

We will have the answer tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Details to follow.
