A very surprising statistic has surfaced about Ryan Poehling

Ryan Poehling had a double on Saturday night against the Predators, and he listened to the advice of his mentor, Alex Belzile. He chose to shoot or... shoot, which allowed Belzile to smile for the entire game. In short, he played like an NHL player.
If Poehling continues to play like this, he will remain with the big club, even when Cedric Paquette returns to the game. He is becoming the perfect 3rd center for the Red, White, and Blue, despite all the adversity he has gone through.
In spite of his long stints with the Laval Rocket, he is among the best in terms of goals-per-game average of the players selected that year (in 2017)
That puts him 8th in his draft, behind the likes of Hischier, Makar, Pettersson, Norris, Robertson, Comtois, Necas... and Nick Suzuki. Not bad for a guy who hasn't made his niche yet!
