Gary Bettman loses one of his biggest sponsors and therefore, a massive source of revenue. It's the Gatorade company, which has made a big decision and has clearly indicated that it is ending its association with the NHL.
Gatorade will not renew its contract with the NHL, after many seasons of partnership.
"Gatorade will not renew its partnership with the NHL, saying they were not aligned with the league on the financial commitment to renew. Instead, Gatorade will focus on NIL college offerings, women's sports and make other innovative efforts in sports, according to their statement." - @AlexMSilverman
The partnership began in 2010. We'll miss those famous green Gatorade bottles.
