In the last few hours, we were telling you about Jeff Gorton's very interesting appearance on the Bob McCown Podcast.
It is indeed encouraging to see Gorton openly state that the Montreal Canadiens' management is not done shopping.
In addition to all that, Gorton, who is the Montreal Canadiens' Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations, was also asked about Shane Wright's famous threatening look, which many believe was directed at the CH table following his selection by the Seattle Kraken (and minutes after his non-selection by the Habs).
See Jeff Gorton's response to this situation:
"No, I don't think it was an intimidating look. We have spent a lot of time with Shane and I think he is a great kid. We put him through the rigors and asked him a lot of questions. We spent time making videos and going to dinner with him. He's an impressive young man. If he did it, I have no problem with it. I've seen the video, and people can do whatever they want with it. We didn't see it that way." - Jeff Gorton
He then had some very kind words for the one who was finally the lucky one, Juraj Slafkovsky:
"He's the kind of player that's very hard to find. That size, that power, that skating. When we looked at him, yes, he's a big guy, but when you look at his face, he looks like he's 16, so there's room for him to grow. We all went to the World Championships and saw what he was capable of doing after the Olympics, and over time he became a person we really wanted to have." - Jeff Gorton
