Here are the CH's official combinations for their first game
PUBLICATION
Jeff Drouin
October 13, 2021 (12:04)
True to form, Alexander Romanov jumped on the ice 15 minutes before his teammates, showing once again how dedicated he is (and hyperactive).
Adam Brooks, the Montreal Canadiens' new acquisition and former Toronto Maple Leaf, practiced with his teammates. However, he will not be in the first game on Wednesday night.
Not surprisingly, Alex Belzile will be the team's 13th forward. Defensively, it wasn't a mirage, Brett Kulak will actually play on the first pair to back up Jeff Petry... which is not good news.
Toffoli - Suzuki - Caufield
Drouin - Dvorak - Anderson
Armia - Evans - Gallagher
Perreault - Paquette - Lehkonen
Kulak - Petry
Chiarot - Savard
Romanov - Wideman
Jake Allen will be the starting goaltender to open this 2021-22 season, as he should see plenty of action this year. Carey Price is out for at least 1 month! The veteran goalie (Allen) will be assisted by Samuel Montembeault, I remind you.
