The Montreal Canadiens are in the final stages of their meetings to announce a new general manager to assist Jeff Gorton.

The second phase of the process is underway and the new GM will be appointed by the end of January. At the time of writing these few lines, three or four candidates would still be in the running.

The Bleu-Blanc-Rouge must move quickly since the trade deadline is approaching quickly. The plan for the new organization chart will have to be set in motion, a planing most likely of a rebuild.

To do this, the group that will be in place will have to draw up two lists, one around whom we want to build and the other, the players we must «try» to trade. The word «try» is important here because trading in reality is not as easy as when playing the NHL video games.

Anyway, let's have a little fun.

The new Habs should be built around: Nick Suzuki, Josh Anderson, Cole Caufield, Alexander Romanov, Ryan Poehling, Artturi Lehkonen, Jake Evans and Rafael Harvey-Pinard.

Yes, yes Lehko, Evans and RHP must be there for the culture of hard work with the foot to the floor. To inspire talented players to give as much.

The "tradable" candidates Gorton and his GM will have to deal with are Carey Price, Brendan Gallagher, Jeff Petry, Ben Chiarot, Joel Armia, Tyler Toffoli, Mike Hoffman and Jonathan Drouin.

In short, I remind you that this skewer will not leave by shouting scissors, but they will most likely be part of the pawns that we will try to exchange.
