Recently, there has been a flurry of tributes to the great Guy Lafleur, and it is so well deserved. I was watching the "Guy Lafleur special" on Radio-Canada's Tout le monde en parle yesterday, and it was so magical and emotional.
He was an incredible person. For those who are interested, watch the news again:
Otherwise, Guy Lafleur's real last appearance, on television, was on Noovo, during the show La semaine des 4 Julie.
It was on January 10 and it was to congratulate Chantal Machabée on her new position as Vice President of Communications for the Montreal Canadiens.
