Among the teams that are surprising so far this season in the National Hockey League are the Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Ironically, as the excellent Marco D'Amico mentions, we are talking about two organizations that would make absolutely logical trade partners.

John Tortorella's men have won five of eight games, which will certainly please their bosses, because unlike the Habs, the Flyers are desperate to make the playoffs this season.

They want nothing to do with a rebuild and are willing to trade youngsters.

To keep their playoff spot, they will obviously need help.

Especially at center, they are ravaged by injuries, and according to the experts, sooner or later it's going to hurt them. According to the "DailyFaceoff" site, their second center is Scott Laughton, and their third center is named Noah Cates (and they now have Lukas Sedlak). According to the experts, this is too weak and vulnerable a center line.

They will need reinforcements, especially with the recent bad news about Sean Couturier, who is not close to a return to action.

As D'Amico reports, and according to a proposal from Sam Carchidi's reporter (Philly Hockey Now), three center players would be prime targets for the Flyers.

One of those options is CH center Christian Dvorak.

It's no secret that with the likes of Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach, Sean Monahan, Jake Evans and company, Kent Hughes has a surplus of center players, and a guy like Dvorak could be sacrificed in order to better prepare the club's future.

Dvorak just scored a spectacular hat trick, which leads some experts to say that now would be a great time to trade him to a club like Philadelphia.

The Flyers, on the other hand, have a 21-year-old defenseman named Cam York who is reportedly available on the trade market. He was drafted 14th overall in 2019 and has 4 points in 7 games in the AHL this season.

He was drafted one spot ahead of a certain Cole Caufield and has great potential as a mobile defenseman. He seems to be the kind of player Kent Hughes likes to target in trades.

Would you accept a trade proposal like this?

To Philadelphia: Christan Dvorak

To Montreal: Cam York and a pick.

Do you think the Flyers would accept?

"While he has been slow to produce offensively so far this season, Dvorak continues to excel in two areas where the Flyers are struggling: His shorthanded play and faceoffs. Currently, the Flyers are 30th in the NHL in the faceoff circle with an average of about 42%, while Dvorak continues to be reliable with a 56.3% success rate so far this season.

Dvorak plays a crucial role in the Habs' power play, a defensive-minded group of players that has recently received high praise from head coach Martin St. Louis.

That's exactly what he could bring to the Flyers team if the price is right." - Marco D'Amico

Christian Dvorak with the Flyers? A trade proposal that is currently the talk of the town, and one that seems feasible (and logical) for both Montreal and Philadelphia.
