Clearly, there is a lot of conflicting information floating around right now about which player will be selected first overall by Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens in the 2022 draft.
After Jean Perron's information :
Here is that the former scout of the Montreal Canadiens, Grant McCagg, adds a layer.
According to his information, the CH's choice (1st overall) will be none other than Logan Cooley.
"An NHL scout told me yesterday that the big rumor going around at his team's scouting meeting last week was that the Habs are afraid to pick Shane Wright, so he (Kent Hughes) will go with Logan Cooley. Let the game begin!" - Grant McCagg Wow! He's also effectively arguing that Montreal officials would be "afraid" to draft Shane Wright, according to NHL scouts. Let's just say that this is a much more reliable and credible source:
This is big! Would you like the CH to draft Cooley? Would you be disappointed with this selection?
Personally, our order would be:
1- Shane Wright
2- Logan Cooley
3- Juraj Slafkovsky
