Although at first glance, Dadonov's arrival in Montreal seems to have been made to accommodate the Golden Knights, many experts are wondering if the Russian forward could not have an impact with the Habs next year.
As Felix Forget of Danslescoulisses.com reports, along with my colleagues at Fanadiens.com, Dadonov could very well end up on the same trio as Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
At least that's the opinion of journalist Marc-Antoine Godin of The Athletic, who wrote about it in his latest article.
With the team rebuilding and Dadonov expected to play only one season in Montreal, the idea of using him with Suzuki and Caufield seems to be gaining traction with the experts.
Putting him on the first line with the team's top two forwards could be a great way to showcase him to other NHL teams for next year's trade deadline.
And there, Kent Hughes could then go get another pick or another youngster, in exchange. Besides, Dadonov is usually good with good players.
Despite the fact that the Golden Knights gave him to the Habs, he remains a player with some talent, having scored 265 points in 413 career NHL games. There is also the fact that he is a veteran and he could be very useful to the young players in the organization next season.
What do you think? Do you think Dadonov could perform with Caufield and Suzuki, and then be traded again next season?
