Today, it's the renowned David Pagnotta, journalist for The Fourth Period, who has the fans of the Tricolore reacting. The latter was on TSN 690 and mentioned that he expects Jeff Petry to be traded before the start of next season.
Pagnotta is even more specific.
According to him, Petry will be traded after the draft and after the NHL free agent market opens. Why? He would be the plan B for many teams and therefore, his value could increase as defensemen go up.
Pagnotta, who has excellent sources among NHL players, predicts a trade for Jeff Petry after July 13 and he predicts that we could be pleasantly surprised by the return. He's convinced of that, and he's convinced that Petry has played his last game with the Habs.
According to The Fourth Period tipster, Petry has relatively good value in the NHL, we like to hear that! The calls have actually started coming into Kent Hughes' phone, about the veteran defenseman.
As for Josh Anderson, Pagnotta believes that he will NOT be traded by the CH. And if it does, in his opinion, it will be good news for fans because it will be a very, very big return.
Would you make these same decisions, if you were in Kent Hughes' shoes? Trade Petry and keep Anderson?
