There are some interesting themes in this 2022 Montreal Canadiens training camp, including the surplus of forwards, the new young wolves, the competition between young defensemen, and the need to find another right-handed defenseman.

Kent Hughes has said it a few times, he wants to acquire one.

Now, two of those 2022 camp themes just took an interesting turn, as young defenseman Jordan Harris, who is having a very good camp, may have just offered a nice solution to his general manager Kent Hughes.

He vaguely mentioned it last week, but Harris has clearly just confirmed that, even though he's a lefty, he's ready to play right D this season.

This would fill a big need for the Montreal Canadiens, and he knows it. The way he talks about it, it really sounds like he is 100% dedicated to being a good "right-handed" defenseman this season.

"Jordan Harris just mentioned that even though he was left-handed, he felt very comfortable on the right and had practiced "little things" to better accommodate if he were to play on the right this season. Interesting!"

- Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

This is really interesting, and it would allow the organization to keep an extra young defenseman in Montreal. Plus, since the beginning of camp, Harris has proven that he can absolutely be effective as a right-handed defenseman. To be continued!

Do you agree with this solution? Do you think that the famous right-handed defenseman that Kent Hughes has been talking about acquiring for quite some time, will finally be Jordan Harris?

One thing is for sure, the kid is motivated and we love him!
