There was a lot going on in Philadelphia, as the team was full of promises before the launch of this season. Finally, Alain Vigneault and Michel Therrien left the vessel and Mike Yeo picked up the guides on an interim basis. Things are not much better, so several players are available.

This is the case for Rasmus Ristolainen and perhaps even the team captain, Claude Giroux. We don't want to take Giroux out of that locker room like that since he has been there for 15 years now, but if we rely on Chuck Fletcher, number 28 could leave if he wanted to.

"Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher said earlier that it will be Claude Giroux's decision whether or not he wants to be traded to a competitor this season. As I mentioned on @NHLNetwork last week, Giroux will be discussing his options and his future with his agent Pat Brisson during the All-Star break," said David Pagnotta.

Let's say he decides to put himself on the market, even if I wish him to conclude his career with the team that drafted him in 2006, he would be a perfect «fit» as a second pivot to guide Nick Suzuki. He is an excellent gambler, a warrior, a player and a francophone.

How about that, Kent? For the future, isn't that a great veteran to lead the young pack to the goal? It will become UFA at the end of this season, and then at 34 it will certainly cost less annually, right?
