Today was the popular day where the free agents could agree with the various NHL teams. Marc Bergevin has been busy, filling several gaps in his roster with the additions of David Savard and Mike Hoffman.
The general manager also made several signings to help the Laval Rocket, including Quebecer Jean-Sebastien Dea. The forward has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract.
Speaking on 91.9 Sports radio, Dea commented on his arrival in the club of his childhood. In addition to all that, the former Buffalo Sabres player also flayed his former captain in the process.
The Laval native mentioned the big difference between Jack Eichel and Sidney Crosby: leadership. "All I can tell you is that he's no Sidney Crosby.
"He's not a bad person, but maybe there are reasons why Buffalo was in a situation like that".
With comments like that, it's easy to understand how Jack Eichel is perceived in a hockey locker room. It will be very interesting to see what happens with him, as he has been on the market for a few weeks now.
