It is fair to criticize Jeff Petry's work on the ice as he seems to forget that he has a responsibility to the Montreal Canadiens and to the fans of this glorious team.
On the other hand, we are also entitled to congratulate him on a very specific feat of arms, that is, the American who played the most matches in a jersey of a formation based in Canada.
Craig Ludwig, who also played with the Canadiens, is ranked ninth on this list (of the Americans who played the most games with a Canadian team). In first place was Jeff Petry with a total of 772 games (Oilers-Canadiens). Blake Wheeler came in second with a total of 765 jousts.
There are also two former Canadiens players on the roster, Max Pacioretty and Chris Higgins, who played 608 and 597 games respectively in a Canadian squad.
Anyway, let's give credit where credit is due, shall we?
