Habs prospect Kaiden Guhle is currently turning heads on Team Canada's roster just days before the World Junior Hockey Championship begins.

The parallels between Kaiden Guhle and Shea Weber are not new. They literally have the same attitude and aura. Great leaders on the ice and in the dressing room.

The team's senior vice-president, Scott Salmond, showered the 19-year-old with praise.

"He has a presence," said Scott Salmond, Hockey Canada's senior vice-president of national teams. "He reminds me of Shea Weber with the way he carries himself and the way he fights on the ice. He's going to be a very good professional for a very long time. He's the guy that everyone looks up to and admires for his leadership, his maturity, his strength and his size, he's a natural leader in that sense."

There is no doubt that Guhle will be the next captain of the team as he looks to avenge last year's loss. A setback that still hurts the Edmonton Oil Kings' ownership in the WHL badly.

"I have a little more pressure on my shoulder to get a gold medal."

"I know the whole country felt [the disappointment], so those guys who weren't on the team last year are going to feel it too. We definitely want a gold medal."

He was the CH's first pick in 2020, and we can't wait for him to come to town. He will be an NHL player one day, and for a long time. He will even be an important leader of the Saint-Flanelle for many years. One of Trevor Timmins' great moves, we must admit.
