As my colleague Alex Desrosiers (Rumeursdetransaction.com) reports, now that the Habs season is over, and the Flames season is over, Kent Hughes has officially completed and closed the loop on his trade with the Calgary Flames.
We're talking about the trade that sent Tyler Toffoli, among others, to Calgary.
Montreal will officially receive Calgary's first round pick in 2022, as he will not be part of the top 10.
Also, please note that the Flames will ultimately keep their 4th round pick in 2024. The CH does not receive it.
Here is the complete transaction:
To Calgary: Tyler Toffoli
To Montreal: Emil Heineman, 1st round pick in 2022, 5th round pick in 2023.
Settled.
