On this topic, Dannik Robitaille (ballecourbe.ca) has made a hilarious find.
For those who don't know, on CapFriendly, in addition to having a wealth of information on payrolls, contracts and stats, it's also possible to have fun changing the rosters of current NHL teams.
With the "Armchair GM" tool, one can make trades and have fun being an NHL GM. You can sign free agents, submit hostile offers, trade players, it's really comprehensive.
And the nice thing is that no one can say no, unlike in video games like NHL 22. If you want to trade Carey Price for Connor McDavid, you can do it.
Anyway, there's the Twitter page "@Armchairchaos" that revealed the worst trades that were made on that platform. It's... let's say... entertaining!
Check out the ones involving the Montreal Canadiens :
Whew. We're not sure if the other NHL general managers see CH players as big as this.
Patrick Kane, versus Dvorak, Dadonov, Schueneman, a 1st and a 2nd round pick?
And then we trade Kane to the New York Rangers for Riley Kidney and other first round picks for Alexis Lafreniere and Chytil?
Let's just say I wouldn't count on that too much.
Logan Mailloux and Jack Gorniak for Anthony Mantha? Picking up Jakob Chychrun for a bunch of guys who don't really have any value and a 2023 first round pick?
Let's just say that these are entertaining suggestions, but they have very little chance of coming to fruition!
