Logan Mailloux, the Montreal Canadiens' much-hyped first round pick in the last NHL Entry Draft, has been permanently suspended by the OHL. How long will the suspension last? Indefinitely. We know that he will be suspended at least until January 1, 2022, at which time he can appeal his suspension.
Everyone understands that this suspension is directly related to his actions of a sexual nature while on loan to SK Lejon in Sweden in November 2020. The London Knights defenseman may not play all year, according to what's whispered in my right ear.
The 18-year-old defenseman, who has only played four games with the Knights, will have several assignments to complete before he returns to the Ontario Hockey League. The decision will be based on his conduct, the results of his consultations and the education he received during his sanction.
I remind you for the umpteenth time that the selection of the youngster threw the journalists and Quebec on the ass since the player himself had demanded to the NHL teams not to select him right away because of his lack of maturity. Nevertheless, Geoff Molson apologized to the public and endorsed his group of hockey men, admitting that it was a mistake.
In short, to be continued, as the other would say...
