While the World Junior Hockey Championship has given us a close look at Shane Wright and Joshua Roy, among others, many fans and observers are starting to give their impressions.
This includes the excellent journalist and host Yannick Plante of RDS, who started a big discussion with this short post that quickly went viral:
"Joshua Roy > Shane Wright"
That's a big statement, especially considering Wright was long considered a future first overall pick in 2022 (eventually selected fourth overall by Seattle), while Roy was drafted in the fifth round (150th overall) in 2021.
That's a huge difference.
So this is a really interesting discussion, because it doesn't make sense at first, but right now, after Canada's last few games, it's hard to disagree with such a statement.
Both players are 19 years old (Wright and Roy)
You can go look at the many comments and reactions, but we wanted to throw the question out there. Who do you think will become the best player in the NHL? Wright or Roy?
