The least we can say is that there is a lot of movement in the head coaching ranks in the National Hockey League these days, and the Montreal Canadiens' division has not been spared.
In fact, in the Atlantic Division, four clubs will start the 2022-23 campaign with the same head coach as at the beginning of the 2021-22 season.
In particular, Martin St-Louis (Canadiens) and Paul Maurice (Panthers) will try to prove themselves with their new players and it will be very interesting to watch. As for the Bruins and Red Wings, they are still looking for their next head coach.
A LACK OF RESPECT FOR ST-LOUIS
Following these moves, the colorful Shawn Simpson (TSN) decided to make and publish his rankings of Atlantic Division head coaches.
"The quality level of coaches in the Sens division is wide open after Cooper.
Keefe
Maurice
Granato
Smith
St. Louis
Would be my ranking.
Big drop with Quenneville and Cassidy gone." - Shawn Simpson
So he puts Martin St. Louis in last place, so many Habs fans told him he didn't have enough respect for the Montreal Canadiens head coach.
Check out his response:
"Why should I trust him?" - Shawn Simpson
Another fan replied that he thought St. Louis should be second on this list, behind Cooper and ahead of Keefe / Maurice / Granato / Smith.
Response to which Simpson replied:
So many fans detected a bit of arrogance and disrespect, on Simpson's part, towards St. Louis.
And what do you think should be the ranking of the best head coaches in the CH division?
