Matthew Tkachuk remains an emotional, combative and passionate player that every coach dreams of having in their lineup. However, he does cross the line a little too regularly, as he did last night against the Anaheim Ducks.
It's late in the first period, the Flames are up 1-0, the disc is sent to the home team's bench high in the air... so Tkachuk, like a baseball player, decides to go for it.
What the hell?!?!
Penalty, of course. While he was in the dungeon, the Ducks tied the score through Cam Fowler. Then, in the end, the Ducks escaped with a 3-2 overtime win, with a little Tkachuk flavor.
