Earlier this week, Dave Tippett threw his goaltender Mikko Koskinen under the bus. This sequence happened precisely on Monday night, when Tippett made the following speech about his goalie:
«We did a lot of good tonight, but our goalie wasn't very good. Also, we didn't send enough pucks into the net to hope to get back in the game.»
Regarding Alexis Lafrenière's goal, he went on to say about his masked man's error:
«It was a blunt mistake. It has to be said as it is. We played well, it was a blunt mistake!»
Of course, Koskinen defended himself and he in turn criticized up the one who criticized him up beforehand. A nice little tip, which perhaps shows that the war has started in this locker room!
«It's not nice to be thrown under the bus. I must be better, but at the same time, we've scored 7 goals in my last 6 losses. I can't score goals.»
He defended himself, and rightly so. A pilot who throws one of his players under the bus in front of the media is never a good sign.
The torch burns in Edmonton!
