Cole Caufield played ten games before being sent down to the Laval Rocket following the game against the Anaheim Ducks on October 31. He was recalled two weeks later and immediately returned to the first unit on November 18.

Since his return to the lineup, Caufield has posted a minus-4 rating and has yet to put his name on the scorecard. In 12 games, he has only one assist and his total differential is minus-7. Ouch!

With that kind of presence, fans and journalists are hard on him, it's all over the place and his lack of offense is making Quebec tremble... Let's just say that he felt far from the Montreal tornado during his stay in the club-school.

"Going down there allowed me to clear my head and find my game, my confidence. I found it was good for me to go downstairs and find myself as a player, relax a little bit and get away from the noise. When I got the call, I was feverish. Like it was my first time. I had energy for those first two games and I need to keep going."

The youngster puts a lot of pressure on himself because of the expectations on him and his prowess when he first joined the team last season. He also has the pressure of his teammate Trevor Zegras and the pressure of the fans, who saw him scoring 30 goals this year.

Let's not forget one thing, Caufield is 20 years old and in the process of developing as a professional hockey player.
