Lou Lamoriello is known for not revealing too much information about his club. As a general manager, the hockey man is known to keep his business close until he is forced to reveal it. He is also known to stop any negotiations or trade proposals if details become public.

There are even rumors that this is exactly what happened to a deal between the Islanders and the Vancouver Canucks. Rumors began to leak out about a potential trade involving JT Miller. Once the information started coming out, it is reported that Lou immediately pulled out of any negotiations.

It now appears that Lou has quietly been working out more behind the scenes in recent days. According to James Nichols, who covers the Islanders, Lou has signed two of his free agents with compensation.

"I'm told the deals for Noah Dobson and Alexander Romanov are done, but not yet filed with the league."

Lou Lamoriello continues to play his special game and he continues to keep deals secret.

The Islanders currently have over $11M in cap space and with Lou's reputation for signing restricted free agents at low prices, it's easy to believe that they'll probably have between $4-5M left over after these signings. With Kadri rumored to have a contract in his pocket with New York for 7 years and $7M per season, it will be interesting to see how the Islanders fit him under the cap. Josh Bailey and Anthony Beauvillier would be the most likely names to leave New York.
