In the last few hours, new footage of Michael Pezzetta's recent battle has surfaced and shows that it really could have turned ugly for the Montreal Canadiens' rugged forward.
Remember that towards the end of the Habs game against the Chicago Blackhawks, Pezzetta dropped the gloves on Reese Johnson.
Watch:
A "normal" fight that ended with Pezzetta winning.
However, did you notice that at the end, Pezzetta came very close to getting seriously injured?
"Say what you will about the real danger component of hockey fights, but if the linesman comes up with a little bit earlier, Pezzetta could have been in serious trouble." - JP O'Connor

Fortunately, there were no consequences, but note the referee's skate at the very end.
Whew!
It's scary how close he comes to "Pezz's" hand.
A situation to watch in the future, to prevent this from happening again.
