Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras left Wednesday's prep game against the Arizona Coyotes with an upper-body injury after being checked by winger Jan Jenik. He did not return afterwards.
Zegras picked up the puck in the neutral zone midway through the second period, before Jenik met him with a hard check as he attempted to carry the puck to center ice.
The 21-year-old has captivated NHL fans with his electrifying play since joining the league. He finished second in the Calder Trophy voting with 23 goals and 38 assists in 75 games last season.
Hopefully we will have some good news soon on his health.
