In the seconds leading up to and following the signing of his contract with the Montreal Canadiens, forward Sean Monahan held a press conference during which he shared some major statements.

"I feel the most energized and closest to being 100% that I have been in the past 4-5 years.." - Sean Monahan

It is certainly promising news and an excellent update! Especially considering four years ago, Monahan achieved 82 points (34 goals) across 78 games.

We are not saying he will do the same this year, but it is definitely very encouraging for the future and it is great to hear that he feels just as strong as he did 4 years ago.

Monahan also added:

"Sean Monahan said that he really enjoyed his stay in Montreal last season despite the injuries and that he felt obligated to himself, to the fans, and to the organization to truly give it a try in Montreal instead of testing the market."

- Via Priyanta Emrith

Sean Monahan felt that he owed it to himself, the fans, and the organization to really give himself a chance of success in Montreal. His strong attitude showed his commitment to the cause.

He also had many words of praise for Martin St-Louis. He made a powerful gesture by highly praising his head coach:

"Martin St-Louis is one of the main reasons why I decided to sign with Montreal. His contributions to the organization are still often underestimated."

"Martin St-Louis is not only a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame as a player, but also as a person. I have never had a coach like him in my life and he is one of the reasons why I decided to come back to Montreal."

Wow, we love it! See his full press conference below for more details and facts:
