Over the weekend, the Montreal Canadiens will play two games, one on Saturday against the Islanders and one on Sunday against the Oilers (both at 12:30 p.m. and both on RDS).
In the last few minutes, Martin St-Louis addressed the goaltending issue for these two games at a press conference.
"Head coach Martin St-Louis confirms that Sam Montembeault will get the start in front of the net on Saturday and that Jake Allen will get the start on Sunday." - Montreal Canadiens Done! We're actually really looking forward to seeing the Habs back in action again!
Speaking of goalies and talking about Montembeault, the CH has just made another announcement about him, and it's great news for him.
The Montreal Canadiens released a press release in the last few minutes to announce that the Quebec goaltender has won the Molson Cup for the month of January.
Congratulations Sam!

MONTREAL -- Goaltender Sam Montembeault is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of January.
Montembeault was selected first star of the game twice (on January 15 in New York against the Rangers and on January 21 against Toronto) and second star of the game once (on January 24 against Boston). He finished ahead of teammate Rafael Harvey-Pinard.
In 10 games in January, the 26-year-old netminder posted a 4-6-0 record with a 3.14 goals against average. His .915 save percentage ranked fifth among NHL goaltenders who played at least 10 games. Montembeault registered 323 saves in January, the fourth highest total in the league during that span.
A ceremony honoring the January Molson Cup winner will take place ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Islanders at the Bell Centre. This will be highlighted tomorrow, before the duel against the Islanders, and it's richly deserved!
