In the last few hours, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman announced a major development for the CH.

"Nothing official yet, but I'm told the Canadiens are getting seriously close to signing prospect Jayden Struble from Northeastern. He was drafted 46th overall in 2019." - Elliotte Friedman

Last minute update from the Montreal Canadiens

Update: it won't have been long. This information has just been officially confirmed. The Habs have just announced the signing of Jayden Struble.

"The Canadiens agree to terms on a two-season entry-level contract (2023-2024 to 2024-2025) with defenseman Jayden Struble." - Montreal Canadiens.

See the official release:

"The deal will pay Struble $775,000 in salary per season in the NHL and includes a $92,500 signing bonus for each year. He will earn a salary of $70,000 per season in the AHL." - Montreal Canadiens

Struble, 21, has 12 points in 31 games this season in the NCAA (1 goal), so he officially joins the Montreal Canadiens organization. More details to follow!
