As we head back to school and get back into the swing of things, many are looking forward to seeing their favourites on the ice. Thanks to reporter Priyanta Emrith, we now know when we'll be able to see our favourites in action as she revealed the date of the organization's next golf tournament, which heralds the start of the team's activities each year.
"As the kids head back to school today, the #Habs' "first day" will be next Monday (Sept. 12) with the players back in town for the team's annual golf tournament."
Two days later, on September 14, the club's prospects will gather for rookie camp. The young players will then leave for Buffalo to play in a mini-tournament from Sept. 16-18 with prospects from the Sabres, Devils and Senators.
After the rookie tournament, the official camp will begin. The Habs will have eight preparatory games to play, starting on September 26. The season will officially open on October 12 in a classic match-up against the Toronto Leafs, this time at home at the Bell Centre.
