With their fifth round selection, the Montreal Canadiens have selected Quebec forward Joshua Roy.
Roy, 17, is one of the youngest players in this year's draft. The Saint-Georges-de-Beauce native will turn 18 on August 6. He was selected first overall in the 2019 QMJHL draft by the Saint John Sea Dogs. He moved on to the Sherbrooke Phoenix last year, with whom he had a total of 18 points, including 13 goals, in 20 games.
Roy is known as a natural scorer. He was ranked as a second-rounder on many media lists. The Montreal Canadiens claimed what could be called "a steal", if his development goes well. Remember that the Saint-Georges-De-Beauce native has an interesting size at 6 feet and 190 pounds.
