The NHL department of player safety awarded a three-game suspension to goaltender Aaron Dell. The Buffalo Sabres goaltender defied the talented young Drake Batherson, who was severely injured in the sequence.
Batherson, who is having a great season, fell heavily into the boards behind the net, and then all indications are that he suffered a left leg injury. You can clearly see this one taking all the pressure at once.

I remind you that D.J. Smith was not in the mood following this sequence, where Dell received no sanction for injuring his young forward.
