Will the Habs have the chance to select the first pick of the 2022 Draft in their arena? The chances of getting that first pick are at their highest right now, as the Tricolore is sitting at the bottom of the Bettman league standings. However, the chances of seeing the 2022 Draft at the Bell Centre seem to be decreasing more and more...

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman sent a warning to the Habs during the All-Star Game festivities. He mentioned that the event will be held elsewhere if health restrictions are still in place in Quebec.

However, the Habs organization has not given up on the project. "It is our fervent wish to be able to host the draft in Montreal. We really hope that the issue of restrictions will be resolved once and for all so that we can receive the 31 teams and the NHL delegation. We are hopeful. We believe in it."

Obviously, such an event cannot be organized in two weeks. It will be necessary to be certain, in a short time, that the sanitary restrictions will be lifted in Quebec.

"It is one thing to say, once in July, that we are 100% and that everything is fine. However, it's important that we can show him very soon that we're going to be okay."

The next few weeks will be very decisive for the presentation of the event at the Bell Center. If there is not a lot of movement in terms of sanitary measures in the next few weeks, it could cost the city of Montreal a very nice event as well as very important economic spin-offs...
