This Tuesday morning, P.K. Subban surprised many by announcing his retirement from hockey. At the age of 33, he hung up his skates after 834 games in the NHL.

It didn't take long for the organization that drafted him 42nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, the Montreal Canadiens, to pay him a nice tribute. Through a series of messages on its social networks, the CH thanked the 76 for being one of the most electrifying Canadiens players in the team's recent history.

There is no doubt that Subban will have a very successful post-career in the media, having recently announced that he will be hosting an NHL-produced show called "PK's Places", a hockey version of the popular NFL show "Peyton's Places".
