The Habs weren't playing yesterday, but once again, the organization was very active.

There is Habs director of goaltending, Sean Burke, who was in Arizona yesterday to spy on goalies Cal Petersen and Karel Vejmelka. (who clashed)

We know that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton seem to have a plan and seem motivated to find the Habs' next goalie of the future, and they're aiming high.

If that doesn't work out for Samsonov, Montreal could turn to another young goaltender with a bright future in Cal Petersen, who could be compared to a Samsonov.

As for Vejmelka, he is a 25-year-old Czech goaltender who, under the circumstances, is having a very solid season for the Coyotes. He surprised everyone and ran away with the number one job there and he's generating a ton of interest on the trade market right now.

It's hard to say if the Habs are targeting Petersen, or Vejmelka, or both, but it will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks. Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton really seem to have made it their mission to find the club's next goalie.

For the price to pay, would you aim more for Samsonov, Petersen, or Vejmelka?
